Astro-Bird is alive again still! He eats many more seeds than he has so far, nearly 15 seeds per feeding. And he requires feeding more often now, too. As an interesting aside, my eyebrows are getting out of hand because Peter has my tweezers out to feed astro-Bird, and I don't want to risk contaminating them with my extra eyebrow hairs. I'm sure I could sterilize them after I tweezed myself, but I am afraid to mess with astro-Bird's lucky streak in the name of vanity. That may not make sense to you, but it means the world to me.

His wing hairs are wonderfully long and pointy, and his down looks longer and kind of shaggy. I really love him, but I don't know why. I hope he lives.
