the first night...

I'm not sure if he will even live through the night. I don't want to think too much about it or he will surely die. I made a sign to watch over him while he sleeps: Please protect the astro-Bird. What if he gets thirsty in the middle of the night? Even with the aluminum foil canopy shade, what if the light bulb hurts his unopened, brand-new eyes? Even if he does live, will he be blind? Or will he get too hot in the night and just die? Will the lamp being on all night create a fire that kills Peter as he sleeps? I would feel terrible about that, and it really could happen because he might not hear our smoke alarm because he drove rocket launchers in Desert Storm and doesn't hear too well. Wait and see. Do something else. Wait and see.
